printing problems

There could be a number of reasons why you cannot print.

1. Disabled print account

If you are in debit with your print account you will not be able to print.
Check out your printing account (click here). Buy some print credits, click here for more on print credits.

2. Over quota

There is a set quota of 20 prints per day for all accounts.
If your document exceeds the quota you will be unable to print.
See the ICT technicians to increase your quota.

3. Print job not set up correctly

All prints must be set up correctly and sent to the correct printer.
See the individual handouts for the application you are printing from. Click here for a list of printers on the Mac Network. Click here for more information on settng up print jobs.

Note: InDesign documents must be exported as PDF’s before printing.

4. Printer not set up correctly

The model of the printer should appear in the Print Dialogue box. If it does not and the words Generic PostScript Printer appear you will need to set up the printers on the computer you are using.

5. None of the above?

Try saving the document as a PDF and printing from that!
