Your Network account

Network account - document folder
Your network account is exclusive to you - and can only be accessed using your login and password. Your network documents folder is held on the server and has a limit of 100Mb storage.

Local documents folder
The local document folder is held within the individual computer. It is accessible to anyone and everyone who logs into that computer.

Work you leave in this is not safe from accidental or malicious damage by others - even after you have logged off. All files and folders within the documents folder that are more than 30 days old will automatically be deleted by the Folder Sweep Application that runs when the machine starts up.

How you should use your network folder
Always work on the hard disk - then save your important work to your network documents folder. For extra security always back up your work by burning to CD or copying to zip.

Get rid of unwanted files - always empty the trash after deleting files from your network folder.
