settings needed to use exchange email from within the college Mac network
There are two ways of reading your email from inside the college network. Either read your emails in a web browser (click here) or set up Apple Mail.
When you first run Mail you will be presented with a dialog box that will ask various questions and then configure Mail to conect to your account. Alternatively select the "Accounts" pane from Mail's "Preferences" window.
To set up an account use the following settings.
- Account type = Exchange
- email address ="your Windows login name"@croydon.ac.uk
- incoming mail server = imap.croydon.ac.uk
- outgoing mail server = art.local
- User name = your Windows login
- password = your Windows password
- Outlook Web Access server = imap.croydon.ac.uk
- Authentication (for incoming mail) = NTLM
- Authentication (for outgoing mail) = none
