settings needed to use email from within the college Mac network

There are two ways of reading your email from inside the college network. Either read your emails in a web browser (click here) or set up an email browser like Microsoft Entourage or Apple Mail.

We strongly recomend the use of Entourage for staff users as the college's PC email runs on an Exchange server and Entourage is the official Exchange client for Mac.

When you first run Entourage you will be presented with a dialog box that will ask various questions and then configure Entourage to conect to your account. Alternatively select "Accounts" from Entourage's "Tools" menu. The content of your email account will not have changed.

To set up an account use the following settings.

Account type = IMAP

incoming (IMAP) server = art.local

outgoing (SMTP) server = art.local

Sign in name (or account ID) = your login name

password = your password

email address ="your login name"@art.croydon.ac.uk
