Trouble connecting to your remote site via FTP from DreamWeaver

When our network is very busy it is possible that you will receive an error when you try to connect to the server from DreamWeaver.

The problem is due to DreamWeaver not getting a reply from the server quick enough, the solution is to increase how long DreamWeaver waits for a reply. This is called the FTP time out.

To increase the FTP time out select 'Preferences' in the 'Edit' menu of DreamWeaver, then select 'Site FTP'. You can then increase the FTP time out value from its default of 60 seconds - 120 seconds is a good start.
